“I actually spoke to him once in the summer when he was at the villa, he wanted to take me there.

“He was brilliant, it was a ten minute phone call and I came out of the phone thinking ‘wow, this guy knows football’ he’s a football guy.
“There’s a lot of hard work at Newcastle right now and I think he’s done a good job, he’s kept them going.”
