Police investigating the murder of Katrina Rainey in Kockloughrim have been given an additional 36 hours to question a man suspected of murder.
Ulysses confirmed late Tuesday night that a 59-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Mrs. Renee, 50, died of a burn outside a farmhouse where she lived with her family.
The incident took place at around 5.40 am on Tuesday in the Quarry Road area of Naklogram. Mrs Renے, who was trapped in the Peugeot car, was rushed to hospital.
Police later confirmed that she died of her injuries.
The murder is under investigation and forensic officers inspected the scene and closed the house.
The man was taken to the Burns Unit of the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast for treatment of head and hand injuries and was taken into police custody. His injuries are not considered serious.
Emergency services who attended the scene were said to be concerned about Mrs. Rainy’s injuries.
She was 95% burnt on her body.
Doctors tried desperately to save her, but her injuries were severe and she died shortly after being admitted to hospital.
Mrs. Renے was a mother of six.
